The story of RUKU began in Illertissen, Bavaria, Germany, more than 160 years ago. In 1852 started the entrepreneur Rudolf Kurz a sawmill. He and the following generations of his family grew the business into a successful woodworking manufacturing company, renowned for meticulous craftsmanship in woodwork. Excellence in working with wood is still the core competence of the company.
The company started designing and building premium saunas in the early sixties. Through working with partner companies and training their personnel, RUKU ensured that their saunas were professionally installed on customers’ premises.
A new and exciting chapter started when in 2010 the RUKU Sauna-Manufaktur GmbH & Co. KG was founded with the objective of focussing on designing and building saunas.
Expert design and finest craftsmanship in building customised premier saunas became the hallmark of RUKU.
RUKU’s product range includes Finnish saunas with sauna heaters, infrared saunas, and steam bath cabins with steam generators. We build outdoor saunas and customer specific wellness cabins, not only for private customers but also for companies. We can, together with our co-operation partners, supply complete spa and wellness facilities.
Our patented Isoholz-insulation and our patented infrared heating system – temperature range from 35°C to approximately 80°C - offer great benefits to our customers. These features are only found in our saunas.
